Electrical Project Manager

Our vision is to drive a transformational change in global energy behaviour, helping companies decarbonise towards a greener, cleaner, business landscape.  We are looking for a Project Manager to support our customer installations.

What exactly will you do?

You will be responsible for leading a team of electricians to deliver large scale installations to various business types.  The role includes:

• Understanding customers’ requirements and build installation plans that suit their needs.
• Scope projects and provide detailed plans and options for implementation including pricing.
• Monitor and support the delivery of work from electrical engineers, providing strong leadership to remote engineers.
• Co-ordinate installations including the stock levels, tools, staff & health & safety requirements.
• Produce detailed plans of installations outlining costs and resources required as well as associated budget management.
• Establish, along with project sponsors, the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
• Day to day management of the project, through the end-to-end project life cycle (concept to close).
• Ensure all works are undertaken safely using risk assessments, method assessment and safe systems of work and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Proactively, identify and manage project risks including implementing risk mitigations.
• Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPI’s to improve project performance.
• Lead and manage multiple installations at any one time.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

• Experience in delivering electrical projects for multiple clients.

• Experience of full project lifecycle from concept, scoping and requirements definition through to successful delivery and closure
• Experience of supervising a team

• Comprehensive computer literacy including proficient use of MS Office tools.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritising and managing multiple initiatives at once to meet deadlines.

Desirable:

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering (Level 3)
• Agile/Prince2 or similar
